As a Christian Community OAC encourages every person to be part of a Nurture/Bible Study group.  We encourage that everyone seeks an opportunity to explore the sermon from the Sunday, and the Bible text in a more detailed way, asking questions and seeking what God might be saying to each and every person within the community.  Four aspects of our life together are focussed upon in our Nurture/Bible Study Groups, those being:

• A commitment to Biblical Theology, taking seriously the Bible as the ‘Word of God’
• A personal and pastoral care of each individual who is part of the group, so that faith is grounded in real life, and that everything that is shared will be confidential
• An expectation that leaders of groups will commit to prepare well for leading the group, through personal prayer, personal Bible Study and serious study through searching of commentaries and other resources
• A place where prayer for one another, for the world, for God’s kingdom, will be a part of each and every group that meets in Christ’s name
