Reverend Colleen Arnold-Moore

Colleen
Vicar
Colleen was born in the USA with an Australian father and an American mother. Moving to Australia as a small child, she regularly travelled between the countries while growing up. She is married to Tim whom she met in the Christian Union at Melbourne University. They have three children, Theodore, Eleanore and Nathaniel.
Colleen studied at Melbourne University and then Ridley College. Colleen tutored and then was an adjunct lecturer at Ridley for 9 years, specialising in Church History and Systematic Theology. At this time the Arnold-Moore family worshipped at St Jude’s Carlton, where Colleen served on vestry, was a small group leader, led services, led children’s ministry, mentored youth and (very occasionally) preached.
In 2006, Tim was transferred to Annapolis on the east coast of the US and the whole family moved. It was here, in St Margaret’s Episcopal Church, that Colleen first truly considered that she could seek ordination in the Anglican Church
Returning to Melbourne in 2010, Colleen then actively sought ministry positions, first at St Columb’s Hawthorn and subsequently at St James’ Old Cathedral were she has served for the last 4 years. In 2016, Colleen was ordained, first deacon and then priest. A Christian her whole life, Colleen is grateful to have been raised in a believing family and to have finally come home to ordination.
Colleen loves seeing people following Jesus and building the gathered community of God, we call the church. Colleen is passionate about preaching of God’s word so it may encourage a deeper love of God which calls us to live out the gospel in our lives.
Colleen loves spending time with her family and friends over meals, playing board games and PS3/PS4 games. Colleen also loves to sew, quilt and embroider and is completely addicted to reading.
